Ty Kaunas – University of Maryland Baseball

Ty is a freshman standout at the University of Maryland, already making waves in collegiate baseball. A former state champion in high school and a participant in last year’s MLB Draft, Ty is on pace to earn All-American honors. Known for his dedication, competitive spirit, and strong work ethic, he is focused on building his personal brand and forming authentic partnerships with local businesses, representing himself and Shell Sports Management with professionalism and integrity.

Paul Jones II is a sophomore standout at the University of Maryland, known for his elite power and early impact. Despite being the youngest player in the MLB Draft League, he finished with the second-most home runs, matching the strength that made him the No. 1 first baseman in Minnesota and No. 10 nationally. A product of Cretin-Derham Hall High School—the same school as Paul Molitor and Joe Mauer—Paul became the first player in program history to make varsity as a freshman. His second-ever collegiate at-bat was a grand slam, and he’s already earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors. With MLB roots as the grandson of César Tovar, Paul is focused on building his brand and forming authentic partnerships, representing himself and Shell Sports Management with professionalism and ambition.

James Gardiner is a sophomore defender at the University of Maryland, ready to be a straight-up dog for the Terps this season after a developmental freshman year. A USA Lacrosse Academic All-American and one of the most decorated defenders in the 2024 class, he dominated at Gonzaga with back-to-back All-WCAC First Team honors, All-Met Second Team, All-DMV Specialist of the Year, and Defensive Player of the Year, leading his team to a WCAC Championship as captain while also starring for DC Express. With size, toughness, and a relentless defensive motor, James is poised for a true breakout year as he builds his brand and represents Shell Sports Management with intensity and professionalism.

AJ Larkin is a senior leader and defensive force at the University of Maryland, earning national recognition for his impact on the field and in the classroom. A 2025 NCAA All-Tournament Team selection and two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, he’s become one of the most reliable anchors of Maryland’s elite defense. This season, Larkin helped hold multiple top-ranked opponents to their lowest scoring outputs in years — including shutting out Richmond for an entire half, limiting #2 Syracuse to seven goals, and keeping #1 Notre Dame to its lowest total since 2023. He’s stacked standout performances across the board, from career-high groundball games to clutch caused turnovers and timely goals in the postseason, including two goals in the NCAA Semifinals.

Off the field, Larkin is just as influential. He serves as President of the Student Advisory Council Committee and is a member of the Accountability Leadership Council for Maryland men’s lacrosse, reflecting his commitment to representation, culture, and team standards. Focused, disciplined, and consistently rising to the moment, Larkin represents himself and Maryland lacrosse with professionalism, leadership, and next-level competitiveness.

Lauren LaPointe is a junior women’s lacrosse player and the first female athlete to represent Shell Sports Management, setting the standard with her leadership, grit, and elite two-way play. A dynamic offensive threat with proven big-game production, Lauren has already built an impressive résumé — delivering clutch goals, multi-point performances, and standout tournament moments throughout her sophomore season. From her first career game-winner against Georgetown to a career-high five-goal explosion in the NCAA First Round, she consistently showed up when it mattered most. With her playmaking ability, competitive edge, and commitment to excellence as a proud Bubbl’r athlete, Lauren is primed for an even bigger junior year as she continues building her brand and raising the bar for the next generation of Shell athletes.
